Its .-inch resolution and microscopic price give Kontron DIGICADdigitizer the highest performance/cost ratio in its class. The heart ofthe system is a custom-designed gate array that permits full-functionedmenu operation. The board housing is designed to take abuse -- its anti-reflective ABS shell is shock- and scratch-proof. Kontron DIGICAD isergonomically designed; its tilt can be adjusted or it can slide onto atable.Scanning devices for input to Kontron DIGICAD include a rugged stylus(marking or non-marking) and a 5- or 16-button cursor. Output can be inbinary or ASCII format, via an RS-232 port, with parameters that aremenu-selectable (up to 19,200 baud). Also selectable via menu are fivemodes of operation: point mode, stream mode, switch stream mode,incremental mode, or remote trigger from a computer.To improve present performance, Kontron DIGICAD can emulate the mostpopular of boards currently available. The emulation modes are menu-selectable.
